Clifford Wavelets and Clifford-valued MRAs

In this paper using the Clifford algebra over R4 and its matrix representation, we construct Clifford scaling functions and Clifford wavelets. Then we compute related mask functions and filters, which arise in many applications such as quantum mechanics.

Clifford Algebra of Two-forms, Conformal Structures, and Field Equations

I review the equivalence between duality operators on two-forms and conformal structures in four dimensions, from a Clifford algebra point of view (due to Urbantke and Harnett). I also review an application, which leads to a set of ”neighbours” of Einstein’s equations. An attempt to formulate reality conditions for the ”neighbours” is discussed. Talk presented at the second Max Born Symposium o...

Homogeneous Clifford structures

We give an upper bound for the rank r of homogeneous (even) Clifford structures on compact manifolds of non-vanishing Euler characteristic. More precisely, we show that if r = 2 · b with b odd, then r ≤ 9 for a = 0, r ≤ 10 for a = 1, r ≤ 12 for a = 2 and r ≤ 16 for a ≥ 3. Moreover, we describe the four limiting cases and show that there is exactly one solution in each case. 2010 Mathematics Sub...

Nonlinear Connections and Clifford Structures

We present an introduction to the geometry of higher order vector and co–vector bundles (including higher order generalizations of the Finsler geometry and Kaluza–Klein gravity) [39, 34, 35, 69, 70] and review the basic results on Clifford and spinor structures on spaces with generic local anisotropy modeled by higher order nonlinear connections [71, 89]. Geometric applications in locally aniso...

Clifford Algebras and Their Representations

Introductory and historical remarks Clifford (1878) introduced his ‘geometric algebras’ as a generalization of Grassmann algebras, complex numbers and quaternions. Lipschitz (1886) was the first to define groups constructed from ‘Clifford numbers’ and use them to represent rotations in a Euclidean space. É. Cartan discovered representations of the Lie algebras son(C) and son(R), n > 2, that do ...
